I've noticed dual booting on the same disk can cause issues. If you need to dual boot, I suggest using two distinct drives of the size you believe is necessary. Following their regular updates often impacts the Linux partitions in a negative way. On a few occasions, my Linux partition became corrupted and required a full reinstall.
