Absolutely, I've got 200 frames per second either way. Using one method saves 10 times the CPU usage by concentrating the workload on a single core. With a solid copper heatsink, it should handle the 860MHz and i7 smoothly.

I might be able to get through about five hours of web surfing if I slightly reduced the voltage on the CPU and GPU, lowered the brightness, and used power-saving mode.
