I built my PC a while ago and often read about ideal BIOS configurations. I’m trying to understand these settings to improve performance. My machine runs AMD Ryzen 7 5700X with an MSI B550M PRO-VDH Wi-Fi card, NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB DDR4 3200 MHz RAM.

I’d power on the XMP and adjust your memory speed to 3200mhz. If your temperatures aren’t optimal, lower the voltage.

Ensure XMP Check Resizable BAR (ReBar, also known as Smart Access Memory) is activated. Activate AMD Eco mode within PBO settings if desired.

I looked for undervolt options and found Ryzen Master or BIOS. Which one should I choose?

It resembles undervolting, adjusting the CPU for lower power use and cooler temps with a slight performance drop. I’d handle it in the BIOS settings.

In the bios you don't have to do it when your temps and clocks are fine

It's a strict cap on power with a slight undervoltage. PBO with power limits still offers better temperature control and efficiency. For peak stability, check these settings: reBAR enabled (some boards need 4G decoding toggled on), XMP profile speed and timing set manually, compress advanced timing as shown. Follow Ryzen DRAM calculator for tRFC, typically 400-500 on well-binned chips. Activate PBO2 via custom settings and enter values accordingly. If using an aftermarket cooler, set PBO Frequency Offset Positive 200; otherwise skip. Adjust Curve Optimizer Voltage Offset to Negative 20—caution if you experience crashes under low load at that setting.

Eco mode is quite distinct from under-volting, yet it's significantly simpler to configure. The main aim remains the same—conserve energy and minimize heat output. Honestly, those who invest a lot in manual adjustments are unlikely to ask such a question.
