Setting up Windows XP with Windows 10 version 1.1.1
The issue is that my Windows 8.1 copy is in Hungarian, which prevents speech recognition from working, leaving only the US version available. There isn't a UK option.
Clear all data from your HDD completely. This includes every partition. Change your SATA controller setting in BIOS to IDE. XP isn’t compatible with AHCI. Create a 60GB partition specifically for XP. Load XP onto that partition using the CD (contact me if you need help). Then install Windows 8.1 across the remaining drive (ask for a DVD if needed). When you power on, the system will prompt which operating system to start. I assume Windows 8.1 uses the bootmgr, which has been active since Vista and can run XP. But XP relies on NTLDR, which won’t boot anything newer than XP. That’s why we install XP first—so it doesn’t replace the bootmgr.
