Setting up Windows on my m.2 Intel SSD leads to missing or damaged BSOD in winload.efi
Maybe the installation media is damaged. Use a different Windows setup.
The OS was first set up on the SSD. It experienced a crash a few days ago due to a "Critical_Process_Died" BSOD, which affected the installation process. Recently, some forums mention that Windows 10 must start from GPT drives in UEFI mode. Is this accurate? I believe the Windows Media Creation Tool generates an NTFS or MBR drive.
Other sources on Windows desktop setup:
- Boot to UEFI mode or legacy BIOS mode
- Windows installation guide using MBR or GPT partition style
I followed the advice but didn’t get any assistance. PS: the setup is functioning properly on both HDD with MBR and GPT formats.
The incident happened once the OS was installed during the "preparing" phase
No, I don’t attempt to unplug the HDD during installation. After confirming everything functions correctly, I plug it back in.
