Once upon a time, I installed Windows 7 onto a USB drive, which required some tweaks in the registry. More recently, I attempted the same with Windows 10, but it didn’t work well. Someone might know if this is still feasible and what steps to take.

Setting up Windows 10 on a flash drive is possible. You need a program named "Windows to Go" to create a bootable USB. After installation, you can start from the drive and launch Windows 10. Microsoft provides this utility, but performance may be slower compared to using a traditional hard drive. More detailed guidance is available at the referenced site.
