You're considering using your phone as the boot device for your new system. That's possible but comes with some limitations. Make sure your phone has enough storage and is compatible with the USB port you plan to use. Also, ensure your phone is updated and that you have a stable connection. Keep in mind that using a phone as a boot device may affect performance compared to a dedicated computer drive.

The situation calls for creative solutions, yet it seems unnecessary to question the logic behind them.

An 8GB USB drive costs around ten dollars at Walmart. Just plug it in, get Windows installed, and you're good to go.

Head to a nearby store like Walmart, Meijer, Kroger, Frys, MicroCenter or your local shop. Grab a budget-friendly SanDisk 16GB flash drive. No hassle with phones—just simple shopping.

Consider buying a CPU and skipping the expensive USB storage option. Go straight to Amazon, pay a small fee, and have it delivered quickly.

I really hope so, a pretty rough idea but I don’t have any better options since I only have PATA and laptop drives nearby.

I reside more than an hour away from the nearest location offering technical equipment, and I currently lack any means of traveling there until the upcoming weekend.

Extremely wild, tricking your PC to believe your phone is a USB and then rerouting file system signals would be insane. Just get a fresh USB eventually—it’s probably necessary later anyway.

Search nearby stores that carry computers and find one that’s convenient for you.

For a simple answer, avoid using a phone. Where exactly are you living?
