You might also attempt to disconnect and reconnect the peripherals, then restart until they function properly. This problem keeps occurring with the motherboard lacking USB2 ports. Changing connections and restarting results in only a fifth of functionality.

Thanks for the support! I managed to fix my computer and now I’m thinking about getting a physical copy of Windows 10 since my dad covered the cost. Haha!

He made the correct choice. Windows 7 isn't up to date. It doesn't work with USB 3.0/3.1 or M.2 devices by default.
