Hi everyone, I've been dealing with this problem for the last 72 hours and feel completely stuck. The main challenge is that I'm part of the Windows 11 insider program, and the latest release is extremely unstable. Whenever I try to open something with error messages—especially those related to memory management—I keep getting BSODs. My top priority is to switch from this unreliable insider version to a standard, publicly available Windows 11 build. It seems like Microsoft intentionally makes this process tough, as the only solution appears to be a full system wipe and reinstall. I managed to back up my Synology NAS and performed a clean install using their recovery tool. After a few hours of waiting, everything was restored. However, upon restarting, I realized I was still running the same insider preview build. I'm really confused about what to do next. My PC is broken, I can't escape this Windows Insider issue, and I've been up all night trying to fix it. I should mention that I reached out to both Microsoft and Synology support for assistance, but they directed me to forums—those are not very helpful and often filled with frustration. Synology did provide some guidance, though they didn’t seem able to assist with my specific situation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot, Max.

How's everything going with the fresh setup of Windows? It looks like you're getting back into the insider version since the backup you made is the insider release.

You'll need to perform a full Windows reinstall followed by restoring files. The Synology backup is an image of the internal build, making it impossible to recover from there. However, you can extract only the necessary files from the backup and restore them in Documents and Downloads.

Yes, you can preserve your apps, window settings, and app data during the process.

I'm preparing a standard Windows 11 installation USB from your laptop and then reinstalling Windows on your PC.

Manually reinstall and reconfigure everything, then transfer your files from the backup. Make sure the backup type is easily viewable; some systems require a full backup and won’t let you pull specific files.
