Setting up Windows 10 again causes data loss.
I have a corrupted OS so i have to reinstall windows but theres one problem that happens in the process. Theres no way for me to keep any of my files, it tells me " you cant keep windows settings . personal files and apps because your current version of windows might be installed in a unsupported directory." I talked to people over at Microsoft but those guys are useless they just hung up on me when they didnt know what to do. Im tired of windows trying to update and failing to do so every time i start up my computer.
Without being able to retrieve the drive or access files on another device, I don’t have a clear method for you to preserve your data. I understand this can be upsetting since I’ve faced a similar issue. There might be alternative options, but I’m not certain.
Do you have an additional storage device, either internal or external, that can accommodate the files you're attempting to save? You might utilize a live version of Linux to back up most of your data, such as user settings for most applications and games.
