I possess a specific problem. My PC runs both Windows 10 and Ubuntu, but I installed the wrong Ubuntu version (LTS instead of 17.10.1). I need to remove Ubuntu without affecting Windows 10. Should I be able to delete Ubuntu while keeping Windows intact?

You can simply reinstall it over the partition using the LTS version.
