Generally, yes, but avoid deleting anything on the HDD until the SSD is fully operational and stable. During OS installation, unplug the HDD and keep only the SSD accessible. This reduces complications and potential issues from MS.

You can keep the HDD as is. Erasing it again after moving to the SSD isn’t necessary unless you’re replacing it.

Ensure your backup is secure before proceeding. Wipe the hard drive and transfer your data onto it. Understand that your applications will need to be reinstalled since the registry has changed and they won’t be present.

That's your choice. You can allocate more space after the storage drive, but it's not essential. Simply reinstall all software from that location.
