You can transfer your existing programs from the old HDD to the new SSD without disconnecting it. Simply back up your data, reinstall Windows on the SSD, and restore your applications. This way, you keep everything intact while upgrading storage.

Remember that Windows won’t recognize your installed apps. They’ll continue working, but if you’re used to seeing them in the Start Menu, you might need to reinstall them on the hard drive or add them manually there.
