Most motherboards support RAM speeds from 2933Mhz up to 3200Mhz. Using 3000Mhz RAM at 3000Mhz should work fine without affecting performance.

Sometimes the motherboard can also handle 3066Mhz. A solid 3000Mhz is rare to find. The 77Mhz variation isn't likely to have a major impact. Plus, with some adjustments, you might even push your memory speed up to 3200Mhz.

Typically involves official CPU support from that era. You might benefit from using significantly faster RAM if desired.

You're planning a gradual upgrade path, beginning at 3000Mhz and progressing to 3200Mhz.
