QuickSync needs you to turn on iGPU and set up the corresponding driver. A more thorough manual is available elsewhere regarding this process. The main idea is to create a virtual monitor that's then utilized for encoding.
Today I tried it and it functioned, though it didn't meet my expectations. It looks like my internet connection might be the issue. Joining public servers slows down the game, while creating my own island doesn't cause any problems.
Both my internet connection is quite reliable. The upload speed seems consistently around the average level. It's similar to a 4.5 mbps connection.
