Setting up Linux isn't functioning properly.
Hey there! I tried Linux too—I installed Pop!OS, made a bootable USB with Rufus, and set the boot order correctly. But when I started booting, I ran into an error: I kept looping through the screens endlessly. I also switched to another distribution but faced similar issues during boot. Any tips or troubleshooting steps?
It seems your system isn't recognizing the kernel because of an invalid signature. Following @HairlessMonkeyBoy's advice, you should turn off Secure Boot to boot a non-Windows OS. Note that Linux kernels aren't signed by Microsoft, which is why the default keys don't match. Also, double-check the checksum of the .iso file and ensure Rufus confirms the write during USB creation. Edited July 16, 2020 by svmlegacy Added more tips
