Setting up IP configuration with a router acting as a Wi-Fi extender
Hi, I'm trying to boost my Wi-Fi coverage using the TP-Link TL-WR820N. The main router is set to 192.168.1.1 and the second router acts as an extender, automatically assigned 192.168.0.1. Despite that, I can't reach any devices connected to the second router. The WAN setup on Router 2 also needs adjustment. Can I connect to the devices on the second router through a device linked to the primary router?
Configure the second router's IP to 192.168.1.254, turn off DHCP, connect via LAN1 port instead of WAN, and it should function as a switch with its own Wi-Fi.
