You’ll likely receive the Windows 8.1 installation media via a disc or USB drive. The exact method depends on your purchase option—some may send a disc, others a digital copy. You can choose either, but you’ll need to install it using the provided media.

You download the 8.1 version directly, but you'll receive a free copy of 10 soon after.

unless you possess a script that enables it (and the torrent isn't a "compromised" one, it should function, otherwise I doubt it will)

He paid only twenty dollars, which seems like a solid offer. Besides, I'm not entirely confident your approach will succeed. Everyone is still uncertain (at the moment). I'll assume it won't work, and Microsoft likely intended to stop it from functioning. Would this actually be effective? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...resh-media

I understand... the PC I'm using right now has a torrented version of 8.1, and I've already reserved my Windows 10 copy. I also have a key for 8.1... even if you don't like Windows 10, the key I have will work for a full 8.1 Pro version. No need to do any removal or anything. I'm about to install 8.1 on my friend's PC as soon as the DVD is written.
