I was attempting to run a dual-boot between elementary OS and Windows, with Linux as the daily backup option, while keeping Windows available for fallback. However, I encountered issues loading the installation media when CSM is enabled—it displays a distorted screen even though Rufus is configured for GPT. Without CSM, the installer doesn’t recognize Windows as an install option but appears in GParted. Additionally, using NTFS as the file system in Rufus results in a GRUB prompt, and I’m using a GPT-formatted hard drive instead of an MBR one.
