The instructions also recommend linking the power cord to the power source.
These are the more recent ICEU models that utilize the updated hub. For this setup, you should attach a PCIe power cable to the hub adapter and then connect that cable to the hub directly. If you're using the previous hub model, please inform me.
yes thats it. With your hub there should have been the hub, a few icue link cables to connect to the fans, and then a cable that takes pcie power and comes out at a flat 6 pin cable that goes into the side of your hub. There is also a USB micro-b to internal USB cable. You should take 1 of the 6pin pcie power cables from your power supply, labeled pcie, and then plug it into the cable. Then plug the other end into the hub. Once you have done that. Attach the fans using the icue link cable, and then attach the micro B cable to the hub and the other end to one of the USB headers on your motherboard (see motherboard manual for location).
Great news! The 6-pin connector worked perfectly. I was really worried about finding a slot that would fit, but this one did! Thanks a ton!
It should have been something you didn’t require from your graphics card. Verify you aren’t mistakenly connecting a 6-pin EPS port intended for CPU power, as this might damage components. Confirm the cable’s label indicates PCIE.
