You must separate the coax line in some way. Otherwise, if everything is tied together—like Verizon typically does—then it won’t work. Also, note that Verizon doesn’t allow premium or on-demand content on cable cards (though I haven’t used them). They seem relaxed about channel encryption, and it’s tough to get cable cards on Charter or Comcast because of their encryption methods.
