Setting up a new home network
Setting up a new home network
Good evening everyone! We’re preparing to relocate into a much larger home next week, and it’s significantly bigger than our previous residence. In our current smaller home, we often face WiFi problems when moving further from the router, so this new space will present similar challenges. At least in our existing home we can use a WiFi extender to cover a few rooms. The main concern here is the outbuilding/office at the garden’s base, which we plan to convert into a cozy “man cave.” Since it already has Ethernet access, what’s the best way to ensure strong WiFi coverage for both the office and the garden area? A WiFi extender or an access point? If we choose an access point, how would we install and configure it? (All UK-based, of course.) Thanks in advance!
Choose between mesh or access points; neither works well, APs don’t help.
You're considering a mesh system or two powerful APs, but you'd prefer to avoid consumer-grade options and opt for solid enterprise solutions.
