Hello. My home has three floors and I’m experiencing weak Wi-Fi on some devices. The walls are 20cm thick and the ceiling is 25cm. On the ground floor, the signal strength is only half good in a few gadgets. Upstairs, the quality drops to two-thirds in the next two rooms and just half in the third. The loft is meant for work, so most connections should be via LAN, but I’d like better Wi-Fi there too. My goal is to improve the signal while keeping costs low. Is this achievable?
You're interpreting the image correctly. Your router is likely located in the attic, which isn't ideal. The signal bubble around a wireless access point usually appears as more than a sphere—it extends outward and strengthens above ground. If moving the router isn't possible, flipping it upside down might help. You can confirm this with data from the link provided: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/c...owen019338
It seems like you're considering relocating cables, but most cables are already installed inside walls, with each end in the attic.
There was only a tiny improvement, but it won't make me happy about the ground floor.
the only way I see to ensure it's better is to add another booster on the ground floor
