Hi I'm not sure if this is the right section but is there any way to force youtube to do 30fps in firefox for both 1080p and 720p as my laptop is a potato. I dont mind installing a plugin but dont want a seperate program. Thanks

I believed only Google Chrome achieved smooth 60fps at 720p and 1080p, while Firefox remained at around 30fps. I’m also not sure if there’s a method to push performance unless you view content at a lower quality, such as 480p.

Avoid selecting 720p60 or 1080p60 on YouTube. The remaining options will adjust to 30 automatically.

I believe the latest change introduced 60fps support; maybe it’s due to using the HTML5 player. Thanks, it functions. Haha, not really.
