You're considering whether to get Windows 10 legally or risk using pirated copies. Also, you're weighing the benefits of moving from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on your new PC.

If your W7 isn’t the original manufacturer version, you can move the key. Don’t worry if it’s a prebuilt unit. Instead, get the Windows 10 ISO file and ignore the prompt asking for the key; the system will run without activation, though personalization options and a watermark remain.

Move away from Windows 7 and consider upgrading to Windows 10. You can find it online via Google or purchase a license from retailers such as Kingpin at a much lower cost.

It seems unclear if you received your PC with Windows 7. Would you like to clarify or provide more details?

You realize there are many unknowns, so the optimal choice is to start your current Windows 7 setup on a new machine (it usually succeeds in 80% of cases, while 20% might require Paragon Adaptive Restore). Make sure to verify if it activates properly. You might also need a PS2 keyboard and mouse to install the necessary USB drivers.
