Hey there! For your setup, you’ll want to pick a good VM tool like VirtualBox or VMware. Allocate at least 4GB RAM for stability, and it should work smoothly if you go with the right configuration.

Hyper-V 2. What size should I allocate in the virtual machine? A starting point of 1-2 GB works well. Just test it out—it may not have a smooth GUI experience, so you might prefer XFCE instead.

Check if your PC supports SLAT or find alternatives to meet Hyper-V requirements. Explore other solutions or upgrades if needed.

Consider using another storage space or a different machine. You might want a dedicated drive or a working device to run Kali Linux without needing extra effort.

I have an extra storage device, but the concern is I don’t want to expose myself during penetration testing... it’s usually advised to run a VM for these tasks.

Susceptible... Even with proper actions and limited to testing, how could someone exploit this? Edit: It might help using VMware for better guest management tools. + Simple bridged setup.

I agree with that point. Two, unless you mean VMware Player, its wallet rinsing feature stands out as the top choice among the options discussed, likely influencing the final decision.
