Hi everyone, I have a few queries about setting up Windows 8.1 Pro for Students on a brand-new machine with no operating system installed yet. My plan is to purchase the software from the Microsoft site, specifically the download version. I’m currently working from a Macbook Pro and wondering if I can obtain Windows 8.1 Pro for Students on my MBP, save it onto a USB drive, and then transfer that drive to install the OS on the new computer. If that’s possible, what steps should I follow to copy the OS onto the USB after purchase? I’m still a bit unclear. Should I search for the ISO file for Windows 8.1 Pro for Students and go through the detailed process mentioned by Linus in one of his videos, or is there a simpler method? Please let me know if you can help.

You can purchase it at a lower price on that site, and they provide clear explanations about everything required—just check the initial post.
