Set up Windows 10 on a storage device
Remember when the early game would start by downloading the setup files right away, using a simple DOS or Windows 9x version stored in memory? After that, it would restart, and during the reboot you could transfer the drive to another computer that had the installer ready.
I'll be away for a while, so I won't have the chance to revisit this today. (At least for a few hours). You mentioned having a USB drive. It looks like you're rushing to finish this. Connect your USB to your computer. Visit the link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows10. Download and install the tool from there. Make sure no other drives are currently active on your PC. Once everything is set up, power on the machine and proceed with the Windows 10 installation. This should be the quickest method available, as most updates take longer.
Rufus works efficiently with minimal steps. Simply upload the Windows.iso file, and it will launch as if you used a physical DVD.
your system is a high-end SuperMicro server with multiple sockets, whereas the Windows 10 machine is an older Dell setup. The wait for Windows 10 to stabilize between these devices will be lengthy, so i’m considering going with the dual HDD option instead.
