Set up VNC on Linux for remote access.
VNC seems overly complicated compared to TeamViewer because of the technical setup and configuration involved. I’ve spent hours trying to fix it, but it just doesn’t work smoothly with Windows Remote Desktop. TeamViewer handles everything effortlessly, while VNC often requires more troubleshooting. Why does this happen?
It relies completely on your distribution and desktop environment. In the newest Ubuntu version, simply open settings and enable "Remote Desktop."
VNC is hardly useful nowadays. Consider alternatives like NoMachine, freeNX, or XRDP.
VNC isn't great, I suggest using NoMachine. It integrates smoothly with my desktop and Linux server, and I can reach both from my phone.
You're using TeamViewer and everything is functioning properly now.
