Your laptop screen is malfunctioning, so you're considering switching to a different device. You've already set up Ubuntu on another machine and noticed issues when installing it on your laptop, possibly due to driver problems. If you need help installing drivers on Ubuntu, let me know!

Link a budget LCD to the laptop and set it up as usual. It’s much simpler than what you’re proposing.

it doesn't work because you need to enter BIOS, and it won't show up on an external screen. You've already tried that.

Set up Ubuntu Server and attempt to boot it—you should be able to access the CLI and install the appropriate drivers, after which you can add your preferred device manager.

I'm unable to connect due to internet requirements. I can't access your Wi-Fi card or establish an Ethernet link at this time.

Set up a standard Ubuntu installation, add your laptop's GPU driver, and if needed, remove the Gnome interface.
