To play videos in the background even when covered by another window, you can use a background player like VLC or a dedicated app. Adjust the video settings to ensure it runs in the background, and consider using tools that allow you to control playback visibility. If needed, disable the overlay or use a different window manager that supports background playback. Let me know if you need further guidance!

You aim to capture your screen recordings for background use, ensuring clarity and ease. This approach helps avoid complications with tools that limit screen capture.

I'm not sure what you're referring to... videos seem to loop no matter what you do. Even when changing settings like fullscreen, they still play. It's frustrating. Also, I noticed this while watching a game—background sounds kept playing because YouTube was open. That's really annoying.

try placing a full-screen window above the video, only the audio remains active. you can verify this by pressing alt+tab or alt+ctrl+tab, which causes the video to start rendering even when only a small portion is visible. this works in the background, but the video itself doesn't display properly.

Sure, I understand. Obs can only capture one screen at a time, right? You're likely trying to record while doing another task. If you use Chrome or your browser in Obs's fullscreen mode, it should record that specific session. However, if you left the YouTube tab open but still see it, it might be a bit confusing. You mentioned setting it up to record your browser, which makes sense, but the display behavior seems odd. Let me know if you need further clarification!

You can stream the YouTube video using the Obs Virtual Camera while keeping Google Meet visible in full screen. This way, you’ll have both options without switching between them.

ok, well i don't have a solution for that, but I think it doesn't work because windows cant do 2 fullscreen apps at once probably. did you try to set one of the apps to "borderless fullscreen" or something? otherwise as always, theres probably a solution, i just don't know it, sorry, and it's probably not well known either. ps: sorry again...but this is as "fullscreen" as it gets to me... video is *still* playing (trust me its moving ) basically I cant try this with a "fullscreen" game, because on my pc actual fullscreen always just displays *one* screen, unless there's a pip option idk about.
