He wants to prepare an old HDD for someone else, format it using a USB drive, and he has a SAFE Win 7 torrent ready. He’s unsure about the best steps, so any guidance would be really helpful.

Start from Windows 7 using the USB drive as usual, then remove the existing partition and set up a fresh one.

If it's an ISO, convert it to a DVD or use Pendrivelinux (it also functions on Windows) to transfer it to a USB drive. Next, perform advanced partitioning, remove the existing partition, and set up a new volume for Windows.

The site offers helpful guidance with clear steps. A helpful assistant appears and executes commands as instructed. Try experimenting with simple tasks like Alex Salmond’s independence example. If things don’t go as planned, retry—it’s a great way to practice and understand mistakes.

Your Windows 7 system has a torrent file downloaded. Use this utility to convert the .iso into a bootable installer on a USB drive: http://wudt.codeplex.com/. Insert the USB, restart your computer, select it during boot, and follow the installation steps. At the drive partitions screen, press the delete button to create a clean slate, then click new and proceed with the installer. Are you sure all necessary drivers are installed before starting?

They’re suggesting you get those USB installers, but it’s actually simple—just pull the Windows ISO and paste the files into the root folder of a USB drive. It’s not complicated at all.
