I've been working on this for a while, but I'm still confused about mounting the backplate. I don't recognize the screws and they seem different from what I expect.

Is it really this cool? The package includes a comprehensive setup manual inside. Be sure to use the AM4 connectors and adhere to the AM4 guidelines. These components will also provide targeted cooling benefits.

It’s unclear what you’re referring to. The part about “bulky” seems to describe something larger than the screws, but it isn’t explained further. You mentioned you don’t have that item, so it might not be relevant to your situation.

It’s a cooling frostflow model of 240x, I believe.

The backplate bracket provided with the motherboard is necessary. The one included with the AIO is designed for Intel. You attach these screws from your PC directly into the original backplate that came with the board after taking out the stock mounting brackets.

The issue seems to be that either my MB wasn't included with a backplate or this one doesn't match the image, but it doesn't fit properly.

That is a backplate from an aftermarket cooler, meaning you had another cooler on it, if you didn't build the system or tossed the original AM4 stock backplate when you did then you're out of luck. You will need to purchase a new backplate or get a different cooler that doesn't require the stock backplate. https://www.amazon.com/fosa-Heatsink-Bra...138&sr=8-4

Don’t take it personally, I’m just getting started with my first PC build. I really messed up earlier, and I’m truly sorry for wasting everyone’s time. Thanks a lot, but do you have any suggestions on how to get it working with your new backplate?
