Set up Pop OS for gaming on a fresh SSD but encountered some problems :(
The drive is installed in GParted but not visible in the file manager. I don’t have access to directly restore it, but you can check your permissions in the file manager settings or use a tool like Disk Management to reinstall it. Let me know if you need help with that!
Sure, I can try to clarify what you need. Just let me know and I’ll explain the steps in a simpler way.
Navigate to different areas. Open the computer interface. Access the timeshift option. This is the location for the drive. You may drag and drop a folder onto the left menu to save it as a bookmark.
I managed to locate this, but it’s a really messy workaround from the setup I had 36 hours ago. Before, accessing the drive was straightforward without all this extra stuff. I’m sorry, but I changed to Pop because others suggested it would be simpler. It’s been a huge hassle using the simplest method—just getting to the hardware I own. Your approach might work for you, but to me it’s a big no—please let me know how to reverse it and try elsewhere.
And to top this whole lot off ... I still cannot create a folder withing the timeshift folder/drive(what ever uve made it?) So I still cannot direct my steam games to that drive ?? If ive just spent the last 4 hrs setting up a drive for timeshift - problem solved - I just wont use the program - I`d rather have to re-install a whole os & everything in it that go thru this config nightmare again
