Hi everyone, I'm seeking guidance on setting up Kali Linux on my Pi 3B+. Most resources I found are brief, focusing mainly on creating the SD card image with Etcher, changing passwords, and managing SSH keys. Could you suggest more detailed sources? Also, I've encountered issues with both the Offensive Security and Sticky Finger images—especially trouble locating the "re4son kernel folder." My aim is to be able to hack my own Wi-Fi without help. I also have a 3.5-inch screen and an Alfa network card. Kalipi-config isn't working on the Offensive Security image. Any alternatives or workarounds would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You just need to insert the SD card into the PI. If done properly, it should start up.

I'm looking to understand your question better. Could you share the tutorial link or clarify what you're trying to achieve?

Another discussion about the missing kernel folder https://forums.kali.org/showthread.php?4...-locations. It seems Steev might be correct—I don’t need to reinstall the kernel, which means the tutorial I’ve been using is likely outdated. That’s why I’m here seeking recommendations for something more helpful.

The guide remains reasonably up-to-date but avoids modern sysadmin techniques often labeled as "current best practice." For Kali Linux focused content, their blog (http://www.kali.org/blog/) is the most current resource. While much of what you'll learn in these tutorials can be covered elsewhere—especially for software-specific guides like aircrack-ng—some details are best understood from dedicated documentation tied to particular tools. If you need more targeted help, please clarify your goal (e.g., cracking passwords, network scanning, etc.).
