I purchased two new RAM sticks for my 1-year-old HP Pavilion desktop PC. The RAM I bought was Corsair Vengeance LPX Black, 32GB (2x16GB) at 2666MHz DDR4 CL16. I checked compatibility and found it should work. After installing, the PC started beeping and its lights blinked. No screen display appeared, but after a minute it stopped beeping and functioned normally. Switching back to the old RAM resolved the issue. Current specs: Windows 11 Home 64-bit, 22621.674, 11th Gen Intel i5-11400 @ 2.60GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER 120Hz, 512GB NVMe SSD. Motherboard: 8860 A (SMVB). System BIOS: F.11, PSU: 400W, AC adapter. I’m looking for advice on what went wrong and how to fix it.
