Hwy All, my son enjoys playing Fortnite on PS4, but I just set up a PC gaming setup and want to replicate that experience. I managed to get it working on Steam, though Fortnite isn’t available there. The main problems are using the PS4 controller and enabling headphones. He wants to use the controller with his friends, connecting them via Bluetooth. Also, he’s already figured out how to link through headphones. Any advice would be great. Cheers Dave

I struggle with the headphones but I manage to use DS4Windows to allow PS4 controller input on my PC. They have presets available or you can adjust button mappings as required.

Fortnite relies on the Epic Games Launcher, so install it first. Using a PS4 controller on your PC can provide audio output, but its quality isn’t guaranteed and may not work well for voice input. A dedicated PC headset would be more reliable.

Connect it through USB to your PC without any problems in Fortnite. Use a standard PC headset and continue playing normally. No extra setup needed—Fortnite works just fine with the DS4 as a controller.

I just ran a quick test and it’s behaving similarly to PS4 using that software. I’ll ask my son to verify the sound quality. When I used only the PS4 controller with Bluetooth enabled, the game didn’t work properly with Fortnite.

Tried using the controller through Bluetooth? I actually connected via a cable. Fortnite is the only shooter my kids play, they use keyboard and mouse but I’m still adjusting to it. lol I just plugged in my DS4 with the cable, loaded Fortnite and everything worked fine. Steam games and other titles are a different case though.
