I’m working on setting up CachyOS on a second SSD, but it appears to be affecting your Windows 11 setup. You’ve managed to install it on the second drive, yet your Windows 11 installation on the first drive is no longer accessible. Hardware details include an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM at 6000MT/s, a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU, and an MSI Gaming motherboard. The SSDs are labeled as Windows 11 and empty for CachyOS installation.

Issue: After successfully placing CachyOS on the second drive, your Windows 11 installation on the first drive stops booting. Error messages show a Blue Screen of Death with a memory management warning about an incorrect value in RAM. After BIOS setup, the system scans the hard drive and enters a looping state.

Observations and possible causes: It seems CachyOS might be interfering with Windows 11’s memory handling files, even though they reside on different drives. I’ve also attempted Arch Linux, which produced the same problems.

Possible mistakes during installation: It’s unclear if I missed any steps—such as not disconnecting the PC from power before swapping drives or using a different USB port for the installation. Any advice would be helpful.

Prefer to turn off all drives except the one you plan to install the OS on, ensuring nothing else gets affected. It looks like the boot loader is not setting up Windows properly, possibly needing a boot-repair disk to fix it.

Additionally check whether the BIOS boot menu provides a direct Windows Boot Manager option; choosing it may ensure successful Windows startup.

This might relate to Fast Startup being turned on in Windows.
