Afternoon! I'm working on setting up Wi-Fi outside your detached garage. You have a Netgear mesh extender near the house, but you're having trouble getting a signal inside. An outdoor antenna works, but you need something that fits with the mesh extender and can connect to the garage. The power-line adapter idea is interesting, though—since the garage and main house run separate circuits from the meter, it might be worth exploring that option. Let me know if you'd like more details!

Use a Faraday cage to block external WiFi. Connect Ethernet from the main router inside the house to the garage, then set up a switch or AP there.

I worked with two Ubiquiti NanoStations to solve this issue for a friend.
