Hello! I plan to set up a user profile in Windows 7 and adjust its settings such as preferences, applications, and wallpaper icons. To ensure the profile stays locked in this mode—preventing changes after reboot or log-off—I need to configure it properly. This way, each new user starts with a fresh setup, similar to a guest session on Linux. Are there specific Windows options or tools that can help achieve this?

Software, sure: "Deep Freeze" has been part of our setup before. Windows doesn’t include this feature by default. You could configure it to start from a server and switch to a static image that updates each time it boots. But why does TF work better on Windows 7? That’s just old-school thinking.

Thanks for the update! Key points: outdated hardware (Celeron G550, 2GB RAM, slow HDD) and specialized 32-bit applications that may not support Windows 10 or 11.
