Set up a mineral oil submerged PC, but it now causes my system to randomly black screen.
Hello. Your PC got submerged in mineral oil, but it still experiences random black screens during gameplay. The issue appears across multiple games and wasn't resolved by GPU stress tests or undervolting. The setup includes a 10-gallon tank, D5 pump, and a 240mm radiator. Temperatures peaked around 81°C, which is higher than the usual 60–C range. Could be overheating or a faulty cooling system.
I should mention, I've made sure the pump at least works, and there's flow. I saw in a Toasty Bros video, they used a significantly more powerful pump. Should I consider that too? Edit, forgot to mention the specs. It's a Ryzen 5 3600 and rtx 3070. Edited September 26, 2022 by BlindGuyPCs Forgot to add specs
It performed better than the GPU but reached a high temperature of around 65°C. I noted that testing occurred on Discord, and both I and my friends could hear each other clearly. The screen reported it couldn’t detect input, even after swapping and reinstalling the cable between the monitor and GPU.
