You don’t need to sign in. Use your PC to connect to the apartment router, enter any MAC address, and manually approve devices. The R6220 can then function as a Wi-Fi client, setting up a fresh subnet via its Ethernet connections.

If the suggested approach fails (for example by simply extending the current network without creating a new subnet), using an additional router and linking its WAN port to the R6220's Ethernet port in bridge mode should resolve the issue.

I'll purchase it, and should it fail, I can still utilize it as a Wi-Fi adapter for my computer while conserving a USB connection.

I didn’t purchase that Netgear since the price increased again, and I’m uncertain it handles bridging. I attempted to set up a bridge connection using Windows 10 on my desktop and connected via the router’s WAN port, but it failed. I also can’t locate Internet Connection Sharing in Windows 10.
