It's due to the necessity of sending and receiving numerous packets in the same sequence, regardless of distribution servers, the requirement for all packets to arrive ahead to prevent buffering, the identification and retransmission of missing packets, a large number of clients needing the stream, and other related challenges.

It's essentially the reverse of torrenting, where files come from various individuals globally without urgency since they aren't time-sensitive.
