Service Agreement for Software Usage
Accepting the terms but not following them can lead to legal issues or penalties. It may also affect your rights and responsibilities under the agreement.
They might be able to remove your account, though not always.
They may end linked profiles and bring legal action against you.
It's commonly mentioned at the beginning of the Terms of Service about what users should do if they break the rules. Online platforms may ban or freeze accounts (like Steam). Some software includes network key checks that let them disable keys violating policies. Legal action is a strong option, mainly used in piracy or copyright disputes. In reality, smaller companies often lack the resources to pursue everyone who breaks rules. When you agree to the terms, you're agreeing that developers aren't required to help if the software fails, damages your system, or doesn't meet expectations. Sometimes they conceal problematic practices in those documents since few people read them—such as data mining.
