Server Steam on Debian isn't starting as expected.
I've repeatedly attempted to install Steam on my Linux system but it doesn't launch. I've confirmed my graphics drivers are current since I have a GeForce GT 710. The issue keeps appearing: If anyone can help will be greatly appreciated, as I'm trying to set up a Just Cause 3 Server.
Have you added 32-bit packages? I’m not carrying them right now. Check out Google Steam for Ubuntu 32bit.
Did you apply the NVIDIA utility for Xserver setup? It’s advisable to remove the new drivers and then restart the system.
I tried following the tutorial but I'm confused about why it's not functioning. It seems like installing a CS:GO server through a script works, but the Steam commands aren't responding.
You're still facing challenges while setting up your GMod dedicated server. Let me know how I can assist further!
Most servers don’t need a graphics card. The Debian wiki is typically the top place to start: https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers. For guidance, check resources like Vultr’s setup guide for Garry’s Mod: https://www.vultr.com/docs/setting-up-a-...ame-server. You’ll find useful tips there. Be mindful of what you don’t need—firewall settings aren’t essential for your needs. This advice could help many people, so feel free to share and adjust as needed.
