Server redirection – supporting a standalone server
Server redirection – supporting a standalone server
Hello everyone,
I wanted to ask something – perhaps I’m overthinking this. Lately, I've been considering setting up a private Counter-Strike 1.6 server for myself and my friends. We're a group of experienced players who started with the game years ago, and I believe it would be enjoyable to have a place to casually play together. I've got a separate computer prepared to run the server, with the Half-Life client already installed, but I’m struggling to configure it so that it can be accessible online. I've attempted using my router’s built-in port forwarding settings, but it hasn’t worked. Do I need to perform any additional steps beyond simply opening the relevant ports? Should I create a tailored configuration within my router’s settings? Any assistance would be extremely helpful, and perhaps we could even play together in the future!
Thank you.
Greetings,
To @Leetyx,
Based on online information, the following network ports require access:
UDP 6003, 7002, 27010, 27015, 27025
Furthermore, I recommend utilizing a program called
Port Forwarding. This software, even in its trial version, will dynamically configure and distribute these ports on the device.
Regards,
Jet.
Thank you, @Jetrise. I intend to explore those ports. Furthermore, that website is exceptionally helpful; it’s remarkable that I hadn't discovered it previously!
