Server in Minecraft
Your PC should suffice if it's a private server, but ensure it has sufficient RAM. It consumes a lot of memory.
I manage a private server for myself and my friends effortlessly. Just set up DMZ on your router so friends can join and share your IP. For a basic Minecraft setup or a simple client-server, at least 8GB of RAM works well. My system has a 16GB desktop that handles big modpacks easily; I usually allocate 4GB for the server and 2GB for my laptop. If you need more memory, you can create a batch file to adjust the RAM allocation. Let me know if you want the code—I can share it later. Hope this assists!
