Server help!
Hi everyone -
I operate a small academic lab and urgently require assistance in configuring our lab server. We bought an AMD EPYC 9554 and 9554p but have been unable to install them with a Gigabyte MZ33-AR0 or Supermicro H13SSL-NT. We've tried everything without success.
Detailed specifications:
CPU
: AMD EPYC 9554 (Model#: 100-000000790)
RAM
: 1536GB (24x64GB) DDR5 Dell PowerEdge R760XD2 compatible Server Memory by NEMIX RAM (only 12 can be installed on this particular model, but we plan to expand later)
PSU
: Seasonic Prime TX-1600 Watts
SSD
: Samsung 870 QVO SATA III 2.5" SSD 8TB
GPU
: Nvidia RTX 8000 Quadro
MoBo
: SuperMicro H13SSL-NT
MoBo
: Gigabyte MZ33-AR0
PCIe
: Corsair MP600 8TB (for OS purposes)
Chassis
: LIAN LI V3000 PLUS
Error Mode
: The SuperMicro mobo can spin up heatsink fans and GPU fans but does not output VGA to the monitor. The monitor is functional. The mouse connected to the motherboard lights up, but the keyboard connected to the board doesn’t respond. DP port connection from the GPU to the monitor also failed. The Gigabyte mobo lacks power to the heatsink fan or the power switch (which has LED indicators). All LEDs are solid green or pulsing like in the LED-BMC model.
Tried troubleshooting steps:
- Re-seating all RAM sticks
- Detaching the GPU from the MoBo and retrying VGA output
- Removing all but one RAM stick left in the A1 slot
- Manually shorting power-on pins with a screwdriver and using a power switch connected to the FP header pins
- Unplugging the SSD input into the MoBo
- Testing two different Gigabyte Mobos
Anyone have suggestions?
Thank you!
We confirmed the PSU connectors were properly attached but no action occurred. We attempted another compatible PSU, but it also failed to function.
Are there other compatible memory options available? This is only for testing purposes and not specified for a Dell.

We should limit this to just one user from the same IP address. It seems very suspicious right now that you're trying to manipulate the system. Please stop the repeated posts—just one is sufficient.
