You can configure your dual-band router to support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands by adjusting its settings. Look for options under wireless settings or band configuration, then enable each band separately. This will allow your router to display two distinct channels for each frequency band.

If your router supports it, go ahead. Otherwise, it won't work. Many simple home routers lack this feature. Knowing your router's model would be useful.

Assuming your ISP hasn't locked your model down, you can try changing the SSID of each network band in the administration pages. Below is a link to a page with screenshots of a similar model to yours. Unstable data available, but my advice is to ensure both radios are active and assign unique SSIDs via the web portal. This video is extremely poor quality when it comes to login instructions.

Thanks! It’s functioning well now, around 10MB/s when using 5G and being close enough. Before that, it was capped at about 4MB/s.
