Hello! I'm planning to assemble a PC using the Ryzen 7 3700X and an NVidia 2060 Super. I'm looking for a solid motherboard that fits my needs—no PCIe or SLI support, just the B450 platform. The MSI B450 Tomahawk Max is a top recommendation, but I'm curious about the MSI B450-A Pro Max. Is it more expensive than the Tomahawk Max and does it perform worse? Are there other alternatives to consider? Also, how does the B450-A compare to the Tomahawk Max in terms of features and value?

The A Pro is equally great. I’d look into the pricing for the Mortar, since it tends to be more affordable than the Tomahawk yet offers two M.2 ports.

Choose either the A Pro or the Gaming Plus. You can also get the Gaming Pro Carbon, though it costs more than the Tomahawk.

Determining which option is superior depends on your needs. For Gaming Plus max, the main distinctions are USB-C (Tomahawk) and PCIe (Gaming). Videos comparing Asus Tuf Pro Gaming with Tomahawk Max didn’t seem favorable for Asus, so you might prefer MSI’s B450 instead.
